The Know Daily - Friday 4 July 2025

Read in 5m 04s ∙ Listening to Glass Animals

Hello hello,

It’s that time of the year! Wimbledon has basically become background noise at this point – always on in the corner while I’m working, cooking, pretending to do life admin like an athletic white noise machine. Half the time I’m not sure who is even playing, but I have developed a very strong opinion on whether or not strawberries should come pre-sliced (they should).

London in the heat also has me oscillating between productivity bursts and lying dramatically in front of a fan, holding a Fab for dear life. But honestly no complaints here because it will be gone before we know it!

In between all that, I’ve gathered together this week’s headlines plus a few cultural recs we’ve been loving recently ❣️

🗞 Read: This piece on the history of the slogan t-shirt is the deep dive I never knew I needed. It’s nostalgic, informative and overflowing with cultural references that I hadn’t thought about in years.
