Dogs donning backpacks are being trained to “act like wolves” in an effort to rewild an urban nature reserve in South East England. Before becoming extinct, wolves would disperse wildflower and grass seeds through their fur, and the goal is for the dogs to reseed the area via their seed-filled backpacks – a first of its kind project in the UK.
