Hello hello,
Happy beginning of September 🍂 There’s something about this time of year that always makes me feel like I should be buying new stationery and colour-coding my calendar, even though I’m very much no longer at school… Maybe it’s the cooler mornings or the sight of fresh notebooks lining the shelves, but autumn really does carry that back-to-school energy.
It’s also the season of little resets – swapping iced lattes for flat whites, reaching for jumpers instead of sundresses and finding new rhythms that feel a bit more grounded after the busyness of summer. If you’re in the mood for a refresh, we’ve pulled together a few simple ideas below to help you reset for autumn (think books, routines, and a little seasonal decluttering).
For now though, let’s get into our usual round-up of headlines and culture picks for the week ❣️
Love,

Autumn is here 🍂 It’s the season of crisp air, golden leaves and a slower rhythm that feels like a natural reset. As the days shorten and routines shift, it’s the perfect moment to take stock, clear out what’s no longer working for you and lean into small habits that make day-to-day life feel fresh again. Here are some ideas:
Refresh your TBR list – summer reading is all about page-turners you can throw in a beach bag, but autumn invites a different pace. Take a moment to clear out books you’re no longer excited about, make a stack of devourable reads (think mysteries, memoirs or anything you’ve been meaning to get to), and maybe even set a little reading challenge for yourself.
Switch up your daily rituals – when the seasons change, so do our energy levels. Try shifting your routine to match: maybe swap that evening stroll for a morning walk, add journaling before bed or build in a new weekly ritual like Sunday meal prep. Small tweaks can make the transition feel intentional instead of jarring.
Do a seasonal declutter – autumn is nature’s way of letting go, so follow its lead. Clear out your wardrobe, tidy up your digital files or reorganise a corner of your home you’ve been ignoring. A lighter environment makes space for fresh energy.
Find a cosy anchor – having one simple, seasonal thing to look forward to can ground you. Maybe it’s lighting a candle while you work, cooking a hearty soup once a week or picking a weekly “autumn walk” route to enjoy the changing colors… or maybe it’s watching When Harry Met Sally on repeat! These little rituals add warmth and stability as life speeds up.
