Hello, hello!
Lynn here — back from Spain, slightly soggy and very sentimental. I recently took a trip with two of my dearest friends, Cam and Alizée. It wasn’t your typical girls’ getaway (although I did initially suggest spa robes and facials). But Cam had a better idea — a bigger idea.
Cam was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis two years ago, not long after her wedding. Since then, she’s taken on MS like an absolute force: learning, researching, trying treatments — basically earning a PhD in resilience. So when we talked about getting away, she didn’t want to rest. She wanted purpose. She wanted to walk — for herself, and for others🚶♀️
And so, we walked. We did 80km of the Camino de Santiago, from Santiago to Finisterre (which literally translates to “end of the earth” — dramatic, yes, but so was the rain). It poured for five days straight. Our shoes were soaked, our socks were worse, and our spirits? Weirdly high. There were laughs, deep chats, breathtaking views, and a powerful sense of “we’re doing this”.
We’re now £475 away from raising £10k for the MS Society, and every pound is being matched until 27 April by a very generous human. If you want to chip in or read more about our very damp adventure, here’s the link.
Also in today’s edition: your usual dose of news, things to know, and a few treats to carry you into the weekend 💖
Love,
Lynn
