Hello and Happy Friday,

Has anyone else been really enjoying all the chatter since Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette came out? The outfits! The hair! The general effortlessness of it all. And as someone who used to live in New York, it’s been making me feel a little nostalgic too – lots of very chic 90s Manhattan energy floating around my feed.

But dreaming about yellow cabs aside, it’s been a busy week in the newsroom so scroll on for our usual round-up of headlines and culture picks. Plus, we’ve got some recs further down to keep you going through the weekend 💓

🗞 Read: This one is for the careers girlies who feel like they don’t necessarily fit into one box. Generalist World is a fab community of like-minded individuals who value meaningful careers and don’t want to dilute their own special skillset. If you want to find out what kind of generalist you are, here’s the quiz that helped 50,000+ talk about their zig-zag careers with confidence.

🎧 Listen: The Great Company podcast is a hit for a reason – the conversationals are always thought-provoking, but somehow it never fails to make me laugh at some point or another. The most recent episode featuring Millie Court is a particular fave (and a super interesting insight into the BTS of Love Island too 👀).

📺 Watch: If you love a rags-to-riches style story, I would definitely recommend giving A Woman of Substance a go. I’m only one episode in but already hooked! A slightly different (but important) vibe, Louis Theroux’s new documentary Inside the Manosphere has dropped. PSA: remember the Oscars is on Sunday! Here’s where you can watch it

🧑‍🍳 Cook: Choccy mousse is up there with one of the all time greats (in the pudding arena, of course), but this recipe by Xanthe Ross might just take the crown. Simple and delicious, it never misses… and is next-level served with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt 😋

💗 Do: Living with endometriosis and looking for answers? Register for this event with our friends at femme – they're hosting an online conversation with the creator of the UK Menstrual Leave petition, exploring the real-life impact of living with endometriosis. Last week, we asked whether you or someone you know lives with endometriosis, and over 80% of those who responded to the poll said they did. It got us thinking about how we can better support that part of our community and feel this is a great place to start. 💕

What percentage of adults globally think women in their country are treated with respect, according to new research?
