💰 How to save money for summer without feeling like you’re missing out

Read in 5m 24s ∙ Listening to Jayda G

Dear readers,

This is my second summer in London, having moved over from my home in Bendigo, a town two hours north of Melbourne, at the end of May last year.

Since arriving in the UK, I’ve been blown away by just how much there is to do here - not to mention the draw of easy weekend trips to the rest of Europe. And while I’ve certainly been making the most of my time here, there are still so many items on my bucket list that I’m yet to tick off, from visiting the Eden Project in Cornwall to going hiking in the Lake District.

But to be honest, as well as stressing out about how I’m going to fit everything in, I’ve also been worrying about how much it’s all going to cost. That’s why I loved working on our latest guide, which is all about saving money for summer without feeling like you’re missing out. I hope you find it useful too!

Keep scrolling down to find your usual roundup of the week’s biggest headlines, our Friday quiz and recs for things to watch, read, listen to and cook this sunny weekend.

Love,

❣️ This week’s spotlight is shining on Stacey from London.

For the past decade or so, Stacey has been working with young people and supporting them to become the best versions of themselves.

Seeing how the pandemic and lockdown impacted the mental health of the people she worked with spurred Stacey to take further action and actively pursue her passion. She’s now heading to Birbeck University to study child and adolescent psychotherapy (while continuing in her current role!). Good luck, Stacey!
