The Know Daily - Friday 17 May 2024

💌 Your Friday roundup is here

Read in 5m 24s ∙ Listening to Olivia Rodrigo

Hello hello,

Lynn here, hoping you’ve all had wonderful weeks ❤️ Earlier this month, I asked if you wanted to see more financial content from us - and 97% said you did! So rest assured we’re working on bringing this to you ASAP 👩‍💻

I’m a huge forward planner (I’m a Virgo after all!), but I’ve been in more of a reflective mood this week. That’s why in this edition, I am super excited to be bringing back someone who was instrumental to The Know’s beginning and success. Longtime readers will remember the wonderful Holly Beddingfield, our old co-founder and editor-in-chief - and she’s here to tell you what she’s been working on recently!

Love,
Lynn x

Hello everyone, it’s Holly here! Some of you may remember me as The Know’s old Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief. I wanted to tell you what I’ve been up to because I think you might like it.

Like many modern women, I’ve always been interested in fashion, pop culture, and trends. I love the internet. I love magazines. But in recent years, I’ve felt two things quite strongly: working, adult life is crazy busy, and keeping up with algorithm-driven content is exhausting and a bit soulless.

Building on the love I have for newsletters (The Know is the best, of course), I started Capsule. It’s a weekly newsletter about fashion and culture, and the perfect way to keep up with the stuff you enjoy without feeling fatigued by the endless scroll. The aim is to capture a week in a day: like a time capsule.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Open tabs - four things you’ll actually engage with in the fashion/pop culture/modern life space

  • Adding to queue - what to read, watch, and listen to this weekend

  • Special guest - a cool person shares what’s Hot and Not for them right now

  • Culture clairvoyant - a special oracle predicts a future trend

I’d love to see you there! My friends say it feels like the perfect Friday treat to start their weekend off…

P.S. If you’re looking to freshen up your feed, I share bits over on Instagram too.
