Read in 5m 24s ∙ Listening to Lizzo

Dear readers,

You might remember that at the beginning of the month, we asked you to fill out a short survey ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week. We wanted to know more about how keeping up with current affairs impacts your day-to-day wellbeing.

We were thrilled to receive 649 incredible, in-depth responses - but we were definitely not pleased to learn that a staggering 80% of you think that following the news has negatively affected your mental health in the past.

We thought that you might like to see our findings from the survey, so we pulled the stats together (pie charts and all). And, in response to your feedback, we’ve highlighted our four top tips for tackling anxiety around the news - check out our guide here.

Scroll down for our usual roundup of the week’s biggest headlines, and recs for things to watch, listen to and do this weekend.

Have a great one,
