🌸 Springing into Spring 🌸

There’s just something so special about springtime. After months of 4pm sunsets and grey weather, being greeted by blossoming flowers and sunlight never fails to lighten my life and put a smile on my face. If, like me, you’re happy winter is over – here are some ways to make the most of the season.

🪴 Cultivate your green thumb
Even without green space in your home, it’s possible to get into gardening. If you live in a flat like me, I recommend turning your balcony into a little concrete garden. Herbs like rosemary and sage won’t take up much space – plus, there’s nothing better than using your own homegrown herbs while cooking! For flowers, try out sweet peas or daylilies.

🥬 Eat seasonally
There’s an abundance of fresh produce to enjoy in spring – so head to your local farmer’s market and stock up on veggies like asparagus, rhubarb and new potatoes. I make rhubarb crumble cake without fail every spring.

🚶‍♀️ Explore the outdoors
Soak up the sunshine with a walk in nature. From coastal paths to accessible trails, The National Trust has curated a lovely collection of walks around the UK. I recently did the Langstrothdale valley trail in Yorkshire and it was absolutely gorgeous.
