The Hague has become the first city in the world to pass a law banning fossil fuel-related ads. Under the legislation – which comes into force next year – ads for petrol and diesel, aviation and cruise ships will no longer be allowed in the streets of the Dutch city, with cities including Toronto in Canada and Graz in Austria now considering similar measures.
