Welcome to Money Archetypes – a new series lifting the lid on the often mysterious world of money. Each week, someone from our community shares their real-life numbers, habits and goals – the good, the messy and everything in between – because there’s no one “right” way to do finances. We’ve partnered with Maike Currie, an advocate for improving women’s financial resilience and VP Personal Finance at PensionBee, to help us out. Anything discussed should not be regarded as financial advice and as always with investing, your capital is at risk.

Maike Currie is VP Personal Finance at PensionBee, a leading online pension provider in the UK. She’s also an author, award-winning financial commentator and advocate for improving women’s financial resilience (basically, she knows her sh*t and we’re lucky to have her!). With more than two decades’ experience in markets, money, investments and pensions, she has held senior roles across the investment industry. Maike specialises in helping women take control of their financial futures, with a particular focus on pensions, investing and closing the gender wealth gap. |

🗳️ Italian voters are heading to the polls in a two-day referendum on judicial reform that’s become a key test for Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The bigger story: The vote is on changes to Italy’s constitution that would reshape how the justice system works – including how judges and prosecutors operate and how oversight bodies are structured. While it’s framed as a legal reform, it’s also taken on wider political significance. Supporters say the changes could make the system more efficient, while critics argue they risk weakening judicial independence. With polls suggesting a close result, the outcome is being watched as a signal of Meloni’s strength ahead of future elections, both in Italy and across Europe.

It can be all too easy to leave it a bit too long before washing your face towel… and I’ve definitely been falling into that trap. I’ve been seeing these compostable face towels pop up on my FYP and to be honest I thought they were a bit of a gimmick (did it stop me from buying a box? Of course not 😅). But they actually are incredible. My skin is very sensitive and I can feel the benefits of reducing cross-contamination already and my skin barrier is definitely thanking me!
