The Know Daily - Friday 24 October 2025

Read in 5m 32s ∙ Listening to Ziggy Alberts

Hey there,

PSA: the clocks change this Sunday ⏰ As the evenings get darker and the vibe gets cosier, we’re embracing our inner homebodies and swapping FOMO for full-on autumn mode. And yes that does mean consuming all the pumpkin content we can (and if you are too, then you’ll love our cook rec this week!) 🎃

Plus, we’ve got something extra special to help you lean into the season – you can snag 40% off our sweatshirts with the code SWEATERWEATHER40, perfect for treating yourself (or a bestie). Wear one whilst indulging in a cuppa and you’ll be feeling perfectly in the know (pun intended) as you catch up on the stories and recs we’re loving this week. Enjoy!

🗞 Read: We’re going a bit Black Mirror with this one but it’s a seriously interesting read. Titled What Would Happen If Instagram Suddenly Disappeared From Our Lives?, I’ll let the piece do the talking but suffice to say it’s a wild thought.

🎧 Listen: I went to see Ziggy Alberts at the Royal Albert Hall (feeling very lucky!) last night and I don’t see myself listening to any other music for a good couple of weeks. His new album is fab but I think my favourite is still Land & Sea. It’s like a brain massage in music form.

📺 Watch: Season 2 of Nobody Wants This is officially out which is exactly what the doctor ordered, if you ask me. Between The Traitors, Mr Men books and my next rec, it’s shaping up to be a pretty mystery-filled autumn, but I have loved catching up on Murder Before Evensong. We are gearing up for spooky season after all, which can only mean one film in my household: Practical Magic.

🧑‍🍳 Cook: Keeping with the Halloween theme, these pumpkin pancakes are one of the best meals you can conjure from the spooky squash! Cinnamon, ginger… and maybe some butterscotch  👀

Sweater weather is officially here 🍂 So if you’ve been eyeing up one of The Know’s sweatshirts, now’s the perfect time to grab one – and you can snag 40% off with the code SWEATERWEATHER40 for a limited time only.

Our fab reader Sisi recently ordered one and loves it (see her rocking it below 👇). Soft, cosy, and the perfect mix of relaxed and stylish, it’s ideal for chilly mornings, weekend coffee runs or curling up at home with a book. Our team can’t imagine working from home without theirs.

Basically, we’ve got you covered for that one item of clothing you’ll practically live in this season. Treat yourself (and maybe grab one for a friend while you’re at it 😉).

Calling all book clubbers 📣 We’d love to invite you to pitch a book for our next session, so if you’re not part of the club yet, let us know you’d like to join by choosing “Yes please” in the first poll below. And if you’ve got a book rec, then the winning pick might just earn you a free jumper, so really sell it to us! Just click ‘Pick Me!’ in the second poll below and pitch us why you think we should read it.
