š° The Israel-Hamas conflict continued into a third week. A meeting of EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday was āovershadowedā by the war, with politicians failing to reach a common position and project a united front. The Guardian has this summary of what we know on day 21 of the conflict.
šŗšø Former president Donald Trump was fined $10,000 by a judge in New York after appearing to reference a court clerk - a violation of a gag order. He later stormed out of the courtroom during his civil fraud trial.
š©šŖ German federal prosecutors were presented with dossiers of evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine, filed by the Clooney Foundation for Justice. The CFJ is representing 16 survivors and the families of victims in three separate war crimes cases.

š¶ The Beatlesā surviving members announced the release of the groupās āfinal songā. Now and Then, which is based on a 1970s demo recording, will premiere on 2 November.
šØ A world-first museum dedicated to art which has been censored opened in Barcelona this week. Works by Pablo Picasso and Ai Weiwei are among those on display at the Museu de lāArt Prohibit (Museum of Forbidden Art).
š„ Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe said that he has executive produced a documentary about his stunt double, who was paralysed during The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 filming. David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived will debut in November.

š®šø Tens of thousands of women across Iceland stopped both paid and unpaid work on Tuesday to protest against unequal pay and gender-based violence.
About 100.000 people gathered in ReykjavĆk, Iceland yesterday during the first all-day women's strike since 1975 to protest gender inequality and gender-based violence.
