The Brazilian state of Pará has created a new protected area, guarding some of “the most majestic trees” in the Amazon rainforest. The Giant Trees of the Amazon State Park spans over 1m acres, and will protect a rare type of tall, tropical tree that also holds much more carbon than the average tree.
