☀️ How to travel more sustainably - and make your summer last longer

Read in 5m 24s ∙ Listening to Carly Rae Jepsen

Happy Friday!

With July just around the corner, there’s pretty much one thing on our mind at The Know HQ - and that’s summer holidays. I don’t know about you, but we’re all pretty desperate to trade in our laptops for time lazing around a swimming pool.

But while the urge to book a last-minute trip is pretty irresistible right now, we’re also conscious of the impact that summer holidays can have on our precious planet - from the carbon emissions caused by flying to the pressure tourism can place on hotspots. We’re pretty sure this is something you care about too; when we last covered sustainable travel in our newsletter, we were blown away by how much interest there was in the topic.

Bearing that in mind, we’ve written a guide to travelling more sustainably this summer with some help from our friends at Byway (the first-of-its-kind, flight-free holiday builder). If you’re looking to get your holiday fix while still being mindful of the environment, you’re going to want to read this piece…

Keep scrolling down to find your usual roundup of the week’s biggest headlines, our Friday quiz and recs for things to watch, read, listen to and cook this weekend.

Have a good one!
